Working with House of J Boxing Club was one of the most rewarding projects in my portfolio. It gave me the opportunity to work directly with the local boxing community and gain a much deeper understanding of the people, culture, and organizations behind the sport.
The project began as a complete brand overhaul, including a new brand kit, logo system, digital media, website, and marketing materials, but quickly grew into ongoing consulting around outreach, community presence, partnerships, and overall brand strategy.
House of J already had a strong local presence and a meaningful mission. My goal was to help build a more professional and recognizable identity that could better represent the club to athletes, families, sponsors, and community partners while supporting its long-term growth.
Since then, House of J has evolved into Break Free Boxing, as its founding partners expanded their vision and began pursuing partnerships with local institutions and organizations. Being able to work alongside the club through that evolution has made the experience especially valuable.
More than just a branding project, House of J gave me hands-on experience working with a grassroots organization, understanding a local sports community, and using branding and strategy to help an organization grow and create a stronger presence in its community.
Station9 Wellness was a conceptual wellness and e-commerce strategy developed in partnership with House of J Boxing Club, designed to create an additional revenue stream while strengthening the club’s brand and community presence.
The concept centered around developing a lean, affordable product line through white-label partnerships, featuring products such as vitamins, protein powders, supplements, and coffee. Rather than positioning the products as a standalone retail business, Station9 Wellness was designed to connect every purchase to a larger purpose: supporting a local boxing organization and its mission.
The Strategy
The goal was to create a product ecosystem that could be launched with relatively low overhead while leveraging an existing, highly relevant audience. House of J members, parents, supporters, athletes, and the broader fitness community would become the initial customer base, with the opportunity to expand into additional local and national markets.
A central component of the strategy was cause-driven purchasing. Marketing would clearly communicate that proceeds from Station9 Wellness would help support House of J Boxing Club, contributing toward a permanent facility, equipment, youth programming, community outreach, and other operational needs.
Sales & Marketing Ecosystem
Station9 Wellness was designed around a centralized e-commerce storefront supported by multiple customer acquisition channels, including Instagram, TikTok Shop, Facebook, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
Local marketing would complement the online strategy through outreach to gyms, fitness centers, colleges, boxing clubs, and other health and wellness communities. These partnerships would provide opportunities to introduce the product line directly to audiences already aligned with the brand.
Content marketing would serve a dual purpose: promoting Station9 Wellness while simultaneously increasing awareness of House of J Boxing Club. Short-form video, athlete-focused content, product education, community stories, and behind-the-scenes material could be used to connect the products to the people and mission they were ultimately intended to support.
Long-Term Vision
The long-term strategy was designed to evolve beyond a simple supplement store into a community-driven wellness brand capable of generating recurring revenue for House of J Boxing Club.
By combining e-commerce, cause-driven marketing, fitness culture, local outreach, and digital media, Station9 Wellness created the framework for a scalable business model where customers were not simply purchasing a product—they were participating in the growth of a local organization.
The objective was simple: build a sustainable revenue channel that could help House of J Boxing Club invest back into its athletes, facility, programs, and community.
